Fall Conferences

10-17-10
6th Grade News

Reminders:
This week there are three half days, Wed., Thurs., and Fri. - dismissal is at 12:45
Conferences are on Thursday 10-21 and Friday 10-22 beginning at 1:30pm

I hope that this news letter finds everyone well rested.  The sixth grade team is excited to be able to meet with all parents this Thursday and Friday during parent teacher conferences.  We look forward to discuss your child’s progress.
The team would like to ask that all parents please make sure that your child is ready and prepared for each day of class.  Help your child remember to bring all necessary supplies to all classes.  Some of these items are, but not limited to: completed homework, pencils, small pencil sharpener with catcher, paper, agenda, color supplies, highlighters, dry erase markers, binders, journals, and water bottle (one is good and can be refilled).
Many of these items need to be replenished throughout the year.  Some of these items are, but not limited to: Completed Homework, Pencils, Paper, Highlighter, and Dry Erase Markers.  Again, if you can make sure that your child is prepared for each work day; this may ensure a less stressful day for everyone, especially your beloved child.
Also, many students need to be reminded of school policies and class procedures.  If all parents can please remind students that some of the policies and procedures are: No gum chewing, Enter classrooms quickly and quietly, Lockers are for getting supplies and not for visiting, Quiet in the Halls, Remain silent when the teacher is speaking, Raise hand to answer questions, Remain in classroom seat unless teacher says to move around, Bathrooms are not playgrounds (keep lights on), When in line, we walk in a straight, single file, quiet line from class to anywhere.  With your help, maybe we can resolve some issues that the team is having with some of the students.
