It has come to the attention of the 6th grade team that many students are not exhibiting excellent character. So I have decided to remind everyone, Character is:
1. How you act when no one is looking.
2. How you treat others.
3. What words you choose to use when talking about others.
4. Putting yourself in someone else's shoes.
5. Showing empathy towards others.
6. Cleaning up a mess even when you did not create it.
7. Showing others how to act through example.
Now I know there are many other ways to show excellent Character, these are just a few. Let's all try to rise to the challenge of being People of Excellent Character.
Thank You for Caring,
Dream Big!!

Oh, how our society has changed. Character can go a long way, whether good or bad. Believe it or not parents play the biggest role in how your child’s character develops. This can be such a challenge in today’s world but it is our duty as parents to instill good heartedness in our children. As a mother of 4, I take on these challenges with a little help. Not only God, or my husband but two books I think every parent should read: Manners Of The Heart & Raising Respectful Children In A Disrespectful World

A good character is something that needs to be instilled in our children more and more these days. There are so many bad examples out there that it is great that the school is also participating in the building of our children's character.
